[Update] Drug & Drop / GATE 7 campaign

Since Drug & Drop Volume 1 and GATE 7 Volume 4 will both be released at the same time, February 4th, 2013, there will be a collaborative campaign to celebrate their releases including new merchandise featuring characters from both series.

Kodansha has listed the xxxHolic Postcard book for release September 6th.
(This was previously announced early this year along with an artbook announcement. No word on an artbook date yet, but I'll keep watch.)

[Update] GATE 7 @ Animate

Animate-online has updated with new GATE 7 merchandise. There's a traveling GATE 7 exhibit at Animate stores. If you happen to see it, feel free to post your impressions.

Shueisha's new semi-annual magazine JUMP SQ. LaB will release its first issue July 15th. A GATE 7 poster will be included in this issue's appendix. [credits: LaB homepage]

[News] GATE 7 @ Animate

Animate will host a traveling exhibit of GATE 7 reproductions to celebrate the release of Volume 1. There will be limited edition GATE 7 clear files, wall scrolls, postcards, book covers, mirrors, straps, mugs, fans, screen cleaners, etc sold at each store. Each store will also be giving out message sheets from CLAMP for those who make purchases. There are a few images of the merchandise at CLAMP-NET. I'll post again if Animate has images of the other merchandise. Exhibit info can be found here.

GATE 7 Volume 1 will be on sale June 3rd for 460 yen.

CLAMP will also indirectly participate in a charity event April 23rd at Kawamata, a city whose local economy had plummeted because of the nuclear disaster. CLAMP has donated a CLAMP School Detectives colored illustration to the event. Details can be found here.

[Update] JUMP SQ. 5・6

Because of the recent happenings in Japan which has caused uncertain electrical and transport situations, Shueisha has altered their release schedule. JUMP SQ. 5 which was due out April 4 and JUMP SQ. 6 which was due out May 4 will be merged into one issue, JUMP SQ 5・6, which will be on sale April 21.

[News] Gate 7 licensed by Kaze...in France

France's Kaze Manga Company has licensed CLAMP's new work, GATE 7, in their magazine, Animeland, which was released December 5th.

Sadly, we have yet to hear of any update on the simultaneous US/Asia release of the title that was promoted over three years ago.

The upcoming JUMP SQ issue (splash preview above) has news that GATE 7 will start its serialization in the magazine starting with its JUMP SQ #3 issue on sale February 4, 2011. It will continue the story as left off from this week's issue.

Leaked by 2ch, CLAMP's new manga looks like it will appear in Shueisha's monthly magazine, Jump Square, in December's issue. The magazine will be released November 4th.
