[News] Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card updates

After a break last month, Sakura is again on the cover of September's Nakayoshi.



Volume 5 of the Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card manga is out September 3rd. The full cover is below.



CLAMP illustrated a new image for the upcoming Cardcaptor Sakura Exhibit: Magical Art Museum which will open October 26th and run through January 3rd at a gallery in Roppongi Hills, Tokyo. [CCS website, Animate Times for details]



And Volume 5 of the Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card anime just came out on Blu-ray and DVD this week.

There's a new PV featuring the new theme songs on youtube.

The anime will air this weekend, but will take a break for Sakura's birthday/Easter, but will be back with the new episodes and new theme songs afterwards.

The first volume of the new Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card anime will be out May 9th. See the above image for the pretty Blu-Ray/DVD cover. A little disappointing that CLAMP isn't illustrating it, but I'm sure they'll have something later on...the complete collection storage box or something. Check out the website for anime extras depending on where you order the Blu-ray from.

Each volume will come with a clear photo, and all 8 combined will be a group photo. An activity photobook will also be included.

[News] Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Newest PV

Crunchyroll will be simulcasting Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card this January. See the newest PV subtitled at their youtube channel. The new PV features Maaya Sakamoto and Saori Hayami's new theme songs.

[Goods] Cardcaptor Sakura Blu-ray or DVD Box...

December 22nd will see the released of the remastered Cardcaptor Sakura TV anime on Blu-ray and DVD. CLAMP has created new illustrations for the box below.




The box will contain all 70 TV episodes along with the Kero-chan specials, textless openings/endings. There are also other benefits depending on which vendor you purchase it from.

A 30 second trailer of the upcoming 2018 Cardcaptor Sakura anime debuted on tv last night and is available on youtube.

NHK's Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Arc anime website is up with a new promotional image of Sakura. The anime will start January 7th, 2018. A PV will broadcast this Friday, Sept 22.

The larger-than-life size Kero is also at Anime Expo. And the world premiere of the Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card anime is currently showing. There are no cameras allowed, so the rest of us will wait until it is released with Volume 3 in September.

Kodansha USA just released the digital version of Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Volume 1 at Amazon. And will release the paper version in November.

[News] Happy Birthday Sakura

During Sakura's Birthday Party event in Tokyo, there was a live streaming online. The original anime seiyuu did a live reading, and they showed the viewers a PV of the upcoming OAD, Sakura and the Two Bears. Fans can see that this OAD ties the original anime to the new arc in the PV. The OAD will be included with the limited edition version of Cardcaptor Sakura Clear Card Arc Volume 3 this September.

[News] 2018 Cardcaptor Sakura Anime!

December's Nakayoshi reveals details on the new Cardcaptor Sakura anime. It will start airing January 2018 on NHK. The original director, Morio Asaka from Madhouse, and original seiyuu are returning.

The seiyuu include:
Sakura Tange as Sakura Kinomoto
Aya Hisakawa as Keroberos
Junko Iwao as Tomoyo Daidouji
Motoko Kumai as Syaoran Li
Megumi Ogata as Yukito Tsukishiro
Tomokazu Seki as Touya Kinomoto

The original anime first aired in 1998. The 20th Anniversary celebration continues...Looking forward to it! <3
